Brussels

We went to Belgium in May of 2023. Our kids were 11, 9 & 4 at the time. We stayed in Ghent and took trains to get to Brussels & Bruges while there.

Walk around

Seeing all the buildings while just walking around was cool.

Chocolate

It felt like there were chocolate shops on every street we were on in Brussels. The ones we went in often gave out a free sample too! One we went to had bags that we put any chocolate we wanted in and then it was sold by weight.

The Museum of Illusions

It was pretty cool. They had lots of illusions set up. Some we just looked at and others we got to be in the illusions. They even had people stationed around to take group photos with your phone/camera. We had a lot of fun! The picture below makes my 4 year old look the same height as my husband.

Get gelato at Amorino

It was a wait, but worth it! They were delicious and also looked like flowers when the ice cream cones were handed to us.

The Galleries Royal

It was indoor with pretty glass ceilings. It had lots of shops we couldn’t afford; but it was still fun to look around.

St. Michael & St. Gudula Church

It was so pretty, the outside was impressive too.

Parc de Bruxelles

Walking paths in the Parc de Bruxelles was nice. It had a playground for kids too.
