Denver

Our kids were 10, 8 & 3 when we went to Denver in July 2022.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science (2022)

It was huge. We could have spent all day there. The boys wanted to see everything as fast as they could though so we were done in 3 hours. There was so much to see. It was very interesting. There were whole wings devoted to things like space, gems & minerals, Native Americans, Egypt, mazes, mummies, health, dinosaurs, and more. My boys loved being able to ‘program’ a ‘Mars Rover’ and then watch it do what they programmed it to do.

Urban Air (2022)

They had trampolines, rock walls, a zipline, a sky ‘ropes’ course, laser tag, a balance beam batter, a ninja warrior course with three challenges an obstacle course maze that was three levels high with slides and rock walls & pipe looking things that you could climb up and jump down from (with a safety bungie thing hooked on). It wasn’t just for kids; adults could do the activities too. It was kind of pricey though. There were different prices based on what attractions you wanted to do.

Elitch Gardens (2022)

Our three year old wound up having more fun than any of us because there were no lines in the little kid area. My husband stayed with him while I took the big kids to do one ride and then we switched. We only did those 2 rides, the Ferris wheel we could all do, the carousel we could all do, and a roller coaster boat ride that our youngest was old enough for. That’s it. We basically stood in line for 6 hours. It was less than fun. So when they had lightning and shut things down we just left. Everyone was happy to leave.
