Little Zigzag Falls Trail (Mount Hood National Forest)

This hike was 1 mile out and back. It has a crystal clear, fast river. This hike looked and sounded more like hiking we’ve done in Colorado, but a lot of the rocks were volcanic looking. The waterfall was very full and pretty. We got some good glimpses of Mount Hood while we were driving too.

Waterfalls along the Columbia River

Multnomah Falls

We went there first because we read reviews saying parking filled up fast. We’re glad we went early because when we drove by later it was packed. We were there by 8:00 am and there weren’t very many people. It was a very impressive waterfall!

Latourell Falls

There was a lower falls very close.

We also did a 2.6 mile loop hike to the upper falls. It was a very vertical trail going up and was not an easy hike. The upper falls were amazing and worth it though!

Shepperds Dell Falls

It was a short walk to that one.

Bridal Veil Falls

It was a ⅔ mile, steep walk, but it was beautiful.

Horesetail Falls

This was a pretty waterfall too. It was right by the parking lot.
