Puerto Vallarta-Things to do

We didn’t get to do as many things as we wanted when we went in October of 2023. We went a few days after a hurricane and wound up having to cancel all of our planned activities. Snorkeling was off due to the water conditions and the zipline wasn’t safe. So that was a bummer. But here are some fun things we did get to do during our trip.

Day Spa PV (at the Marina area)

We got a couple’s massage here and it was wonderful. They were all very nice.

Malecón & walking around

We walked along the Malecón during the day. We stopped at a bar to have a drink, we bought a beaded bracelet from a lady on the beach and went to different shops we saw. We also went back a few blocks from the malecón to see what was there.

Get a coconut 

We bought a coconut from a man with a stand. He prepared it and then put a straw in it. Once we drank the water, he cut it up and put the white part that you eat in a bag for us to take with us. My husband liked this better than I did; but I’m not a huge coconut fan. It was still fun to try.

Isla Cuale

We went to some shops on Isla Cuale and got some souvenirs to take home. This is an island on the river that you can walk to.

Walk along the beach

We walked along the beach near our hotel. We didn’t swim because there were signs about crocodiles being seen. So we only swam in the pool. But it was still nice to take a walk. We saw sand colored crabs that blended in so well we didn’t know they were there unless they moved. We saw fishermen casting nets and they let us see what they had caught. 

Watch the sunset

We saw some very pretty sunsets while we were there.
