Georgetown

We were in the Georgetown area in July of 2017. Our oldest kids were 3 & 5 at the time.

South Clear Creek Falls

We got to Georgetown too early for our train ride so we went on a scenic drive we saw a sign for. We saw a beautiful waterfall right off the road that we got out to look at. It was called South Clear Creek Falls.

Hotel de Paris

It was a small hotel that still had all of the furniture from the late 1800s. It was interesting if you like history. Our kids weren’t all that excited though, so we went through faster than I would have.

Georgetown Loop Railroad

It isn't a loop. It went from Georgetown to Silverthorne and back. We thought we'd see an hour's worth of new scenery. Oh well. We did ride on a train and it went on a cool bridge. It was just okay in my opinion; but my son really loved riding on a train.

Berthoud Falls (about half way between Georgetown & Winter Park, CO)

This was a roadside waterfall. It wasn’t huge, but it was pretty & easy to stop to see.
